Here in Oklahoma, everyone is talking about football (American football, not the other football), even though football season isn't for another couple of weeks. A few nights ago, while listening to Berryz songs and watching a show about college sports, I got an interesting thought: Which H!P members would be in my starting football lineup? After much thinking, here's my decision. I've done the honor of linking some of the terms for those of you who don't understand football lingo.

 

My Ouarterback would be Sayu. I think that she would be to step back and pass the ball quickly. She would move as fast as a bunny (Sorry couldn't resist) Plus it would be nice to have a cute QB

 

Maimi would be my running back. She is an incredible sprinter (At the last sports festival, she left a gap between her and the person behind her. There's a video out there somewhere)

 

 

Maimai and Chisa would be great Wide receivers. They're small, so they be able to slip through the defense and far enough downfield to catch the ball and get a first down.

Maasa will be a good Center. With her strong arms, she'll be able to handle the defenders while QB Sayu does her thing.

Junjun and Yuri would be good Offensive tackles. They're are both tall and seem to be pretty strong so they'll be able to hold anyone back.

That's all that I can think of. It's not a full offensive line but I think it will do the job. Who would you pick as a starting lineup. This could be in any sport and it doesn't have to be based on athletic ability (But that would be nice). I'd love to hear your picks.

Over at Midori's J-Pop Overanalyzations, Midori has made a list of what makes one a wota. I decided to see how much of this applies to me.

You can name and/or recognize half or more of the AKB48 research students or H!P Eggs (I hardly know any of the Eggs or Research students.)

You own at least 10 photos of your favorite idol  (On my computer, yes. Actual ones, no.)

You buy t-shirts advertising your favorite idol/idol group and wear them on a regular basis. If you're a man 25+, you don't feel any regret or embarrasment about this. (Oh I wish! If I could find a shirt advertising Ume or Jun or Momo, I would wear it with pride)

You know all of your favorite idol's stats by heart (Definitely. I know Erika's birthplace, birthday, and more) 

Whenever anyone insults your favorite idol or idol group, you immediately come to their defense... even if you know you're b.s.ing half your compliments. (Well when people insult Erika or Jun, I just laugh at them. You gotta respect other people's opinion)

You have spent more than you make a day on idol goods. (I've done that before and I think I spent my money well) 

You can recognize all of your favorite idols' voices. (Thanks to Junjun's accent, I know her voice and I know Ume's too)

You have almost a stalkerish obsession with wanting to meet them or even just see them in person. (That would be an awesome experience. But I wouldn't call it stalkerish, though)

You hear someone say something that remotely sounds like your favorite idol's name and you immediately assume they're also a wota. (Everyday, because I know people that share the names of some of my favorite idols) 

You heavily anticipate any news from your idol. (When I hear any C-ute news, it makes my day) 

You have sent fan-mail. (For Reina's 17th birthday, me and a bunch of other H!O users got together and sent postcards to Japan. It was fun organizing that with everyone) 

Your favorite idol appears in your dreams more than once. (My H!O friends can back me up on this one. They know I've had many idol dreams)

You have wondered what would happen if your idol dated you. (Mainly for guys, but if we include Johnnys here...) (I think that Erika or Jun would be a good girlfriend. But I can only dream...) 

Your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/immediate family has learned to deal with your obsession long ago. (My mom hardly says anything about it. Except sometimes she makes fun of C-ute's name) 

If your favorite idol is suspended/fired/retired/graduated/has no work with their agency/other you check more than two sources of possible info everyday and accept any rumors about his/her return to be true immediately. (Probably not. If Erika graduates or Jun goes back to China or something like that, I would initially freak out but then I'll accept that they're probably happy in normal life)

You have at least 3 photobooks or DVDs of your favorite idol (I've downloaded some PBs but no actual ones)

You could colorcode a song sung by AKB48 O.o (I'm afraid of those who can!) (Nope)

You do fandubs, cosplays, or fandances of your favorite idol or idol group (Nah, I like dancing when I'm listening to my Mp3 player but I wouldn't tape it and upload it) 

You make birthday and worship posts on a blog/forum (I don't need to explain this...just look at my archive) 

You don't take the cheap route and buy your idol's songs from iTunes or another mp3 site, you spend the money to order every edition of the CD/DVD. (Only recently have I purchased an actual CD. I mostly download though)

 

That's the last one. I guess 11 out of 20 is pretty good.

Anyway as you can tell from my title, Momusu will be covering some Pink Lady. Pepper Keibu (PL's debut single) to be specific. This is a tribute to Aku Yuu who produced this song. MM is also gonna release a album in November called "Cover Yuu" (Way to be original...) H!P is gonna run that dorama into the ground, I promise you. Anyway I've heard the original version of Pepper Keibu from 1976. MM's version was on the same level with the original, not better or worse in my opinion. So here are the covers. Jun's looking cool as always (Love you, Panda#1). Nice serious look from Lin (Love you, Panda#2)Reina's looking nice and she's the focal point (Like every cover). I almost didn't recognize Kamei with that new hairstyle (She looks evil). Nice hair, Gaki and Mittsi. Everyone else looks nice too.

I was looking at the archives over at True Life Seek, I saw a rankings post from a few months ago when Hello! Blog asked everyone posted their favorite and least favorite members of the three main groups (That was before I had my own blog but still read a lot of them.) I decided to do one too (even at the risk of being a few months late.) Let's start with Morning Musume.

 

1. Junjun - The newest one in MM but my favorite member. She never ceases to amaze me. Everytime I watch Haromoni@, she always does something to stick out. Even in the episodes where she didn't show up that much, she still gained my attention. And plus, for her first few months of being in MM, she looked like a 13 yr old and that alone makes me smile.

2. Tanaka Reina - She's all kinds of awesome. She gets tons of singing lines. She's as skinny as a stick but she doesn't seem to notice. Also, she has a pose for every occaison.

3. Linlin - Jun is MM's Mario. Lin is MM's Luigi. Wherever you see one, you see the other. (I actually considered saying Lin was like Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog but Tails is kinda annoying) When Gaki retires, Lin will be the new reaction queen, I bet.

4. Kamei Eri - I used to think that she was mean because she kinda looked mean but she proved me wrong. She looks like the nicest person ever.

5. Michishige Sayumi - Sayu is a cyborg created by UFA to outcute everyone in Japan. Well...not really. But she is too cute to be human.

6. Takahashi Ai - I can't say anything bad about Aichan except lately she can't stop touching her face in PVs. Also, we need more Fukui-ben.

7. Niigaki Risa - Gaki-san's face hasn't changed since she joined H!P. I'm serious. She looks just like she did in '01. Really.

8. Kusumi Koharu - I don't that anime she voices (Except that episode where C-ute popped up.) Her PBs are ok. I just wish she wouldn't hog so much attention in PVs, though.

9. Mitsui Aika - She made Jun cry, boo. But she's cute and has a good memory, yay.

 

Now for Berryz Koubou

 

1. Tsugunaga Momoko - Momo's cute. Momo gains attention. Momo's has a high voice.

2. Shimizu Saki - Captain's cool. Captain's sorta cute at times. Captain's plain looking. Captain get's almost no lines but is sorta loveable. Her semi-deep voice is refreshing.

3. Kumai Yurina - Yuri's tall. Yuri knows how to use the camera to her advantage. I like her voice too.

4. Tokunaga Chinami - She only recently became my #4. She's energetic. Also her English is pretty good (Look that video up to see what I mean.)

5. Natsuyaki Miyabi - She has a nice voice too. She's also very pretty (I, unlike others, think that her long chin makes her prettier.). My #2 in Buono.

6. Sudo Maasa - I have only one thing to say: Her cheeks are awesome (especially when she smiles)

7. Sugaya Risako - My former #3. I don't hate her like Yoshimi from Yossha yossha yossha does. But then again I don't have a crush on her either. She's pretty and cute. But I will never admit to buying her PBs (I might be arrested...)

Now for C-ute

 

1. Umeda Erika - She's amazingly cute. She ultra-pretty. She's has a cute smile. She's also the person I want to see in a PB most. Not only my favorite in C-ute but H!P overall (even if she barely gets lines not counting that solo song) Everytime someone says that she looks like a ugly duckling, it makes me love her more.

2. Yajima Maimi - I used to dislike Maimi...a lot. I have no idea why but I hated her for some reason. But I like her now. I just noticed, my top 2 are former ZYX members (I love/miss that group so much.Why didn't you release more singles?!?) She looks hot in a bikini (But then again, don't most idols?)

3. Nakajima Saki - It's true. Nakki gets prettier every year. She's changed a lot from '06 hasn't she. After Ume, I want her in a PB next. When she was in Athena, she won me over in Shouri no Big Wave's PV.

4. Okai Chisato - Chisa's a boy. Well, she's actually the most boyish looking girl I've ever seen. Her voice is pretty nice too. She's one of C-ute's reaction queens. Also, her sister's my favorite Egg.

5. Arihara Kanna - Kanna's awesome. She always finds time to grope her fellow C-ute members and that's what makes me love her. Plus she has a nice voice too. Also, she's a only child like me and I respect her for that.

6. Hagiwara Mai - Maimai's cute, period. I bet she'll be a serial killer when she gets older. But she'll be the most loveable serial killer ever. Plus she's tall for her age. That's kinda cool.

7. Suzuki Airi - Just because she's at the bottom doesn't mean I don't like her. Her singing voice is epic. Her speaking voice is kinda awkward IMO. But I would gladly buy her PBs. I already have one of them.
